Assam announces cultural & literary awards | Silpi Bota 2026

The Government of Assam has announced the recipients of its prestigious cultural and literary awards for 2025–26, including the Silpi Bota Award 2026, honouring eminent contributors to Assam’s art, music, literature, theatre and cinema. Eminent singer Dhanada Pathak has been selected for the State Government’s Silpi Bota Award 2026. Along with her husband, Rameshwar Pathak, she played a pioneering role in popularising Assamese folk songs through duet and chorus presentations, a first in the state’s musical tradition.
