The foundation stone for Bineswar Brahma Engineering College also known as BBEC Kokrajhar was led in the year 2008, two years after the Govt. of Assam declared that an Engineering College would be set up at Kokrajhar in 2006. The college is located at around 5 kms away from the infamous Kokrajhar town of Assam and named after Bineswar Brahma, an eminent member of the Bodo Community.
