China’s CR450: World’s Fastest Bullet Train Unveiled

China announced a breakthrough in rail transport, with its newly developed CR450 high-speed train setting a world record speed of 453 km/h during testing. Designed for the Shanghai–Chengdu corridor, the CR450 not only cements China’s leadership in high-speed rail technology but also redefines global standards in ultra-fast, energy-efficient rail mobility.

The CR450 is expected to enter commercial service in 2026, with a regular operating speed of 400 km/h, making it the fastest passenger train globally.
