CJI lays foundation stone for integrated court complex in Assam

The Chief Justice of India Surya Kant laid the foundation stone for an Integrated Judicial Court Complex at North Guwahati, marking a significant institutional expansion of the judiciary in Northeast India.

The new Integrated Judicial Complex of Assam has been designed as a consolidated judicial campus to bring multiple judicial and allied institutions within a single, coordinated infrastructure framework. At its core is a High Court Building with a G+4 structure, intended to house courtrooms and judicial chambers in a compact yet functional layout. This is complemented by a separate High Court Bar Building with a G+6 configuration, providing dedicated space for advocates, bar associations, libraries and professional facilities.
