Former Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, 74, passed away after a prolonged illness. He had been admitted in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi in the second week of August with post COVID-19 complications.

He has represented Vaishali constituency from Bihar in Lok Sabha consecutively for five terms and has been in the Union cabinet for three terms.
