Google Now Lets Users Change Primary Gmail Address

About New Gmail Feature
Google account holders can now replace their existing @gmail.com address with a new Gmail ID while keeping the same account. This means,

The old Gmail address will function as an alias, ensuring users do not miss emails sent to the previous address.
Important Things to Know
- Rollout: The feature is being released gradually, so it may not appear for all users immediately.
- Data Stays: Your data (Docs, Photos, etc.) and old emails aren’t lost; the old address becomes an alias.
- Limits: You can typically change your primary address only once every 12 months and a maximum of three times total.
- Syncing: It might take 24-48 hours for the change to sync across all Google services.
