The government has informed that E-waste recycling has doubled in the country compared to 2017-18. Govt has reported that the recycling rate of 10% in 2017-18 has risen to 20% in 2018-19. Government has implemented the E-waste (Management) Rules (2016) which enforce the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
