India-Australia Green Hydrogen Taskforce

Patrick Hartley is our Hydrogen Industry Leader. In September 2023 the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water announced that Dr Hartley would be co-chairing the India-Australia Green Hydrogen Taskforce with Dr Ashish Lele from India.

The Taskforce will include experts in green hydrogen from both Australia and India, and will report to the India-Australia Ministerial Energy Dialogue on trade, commercial and research opportunities for both countries through the production and deployment of green hydrogen.
“This new Taskforce will bring experts together and identify the ideas and opportunities that both Australia and India can achieve through the establishment of hydrogen in the transition to net zero emissions. Australia and India are both ramping up for those activities and we have a lot to share: I’m delighted about co-leading the Australia-India Green Hydrogen Taskforce in my role as Australian co-lead,” said Dr Hartley.
