Indian Air Force Day 2021: 08 October

Air Force Day is observed every year on 8 October in India. Air Force day is celebrated to raise awareness around the world about IAF as an organisation that works towards strengthening national security. Air Force Day 2021 marks the 89th anniversary of the official foundation day of the Indian Air force.

Indian Air Force was officially established on 8 October 1932 by the British Empire as the Royal Indian Air Force. The name was changed to Indian Air Force in 1950.
