India inaugurated its largest inland Rainbow Trout farm in Ranga Reddy district, Telangana.
The ₹50 crore project, set up by SmartGreen Aquaculture, uses advanced technology to farm cold-water trout in a warm inland climate, boosting aquaculture innovation, employment, nutritional security, and export potential. Inaugurated by Union Ministers, the facility uses precise engineering for water temperature control and aims to supply the premium domestic market with fresh trout, creating a scalable model for innovation in Indian aquaculture
