International Men’s Day 2019

International Men’s Day is celebrated on 19 November every year globally to raise awareness about the health of men and boys to promote gender equality and gender relations. The theme for International Men’s Day 2019 is “Making a Difference for Men and Boys”. It focuses on the need to value men and boys and to help people who make practical improvements in the health and well-being of men’s and boys globally.

International Men’s Day was established by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh in 1999. He was a lecturer of History at the University of the West Indies. Since 1960’s people were trying to celebrate International Men’s Day equivalent to International Women’s Day. They wanted to celebrate it on 23 February.
