Piyush Goyal launches LEAPS 2025 to benchmark logistics excellence in India

The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry launched the Logistics Excellence, Advancement, and Performance Shield (LEAPS) 2025. This initiative align with the vision of the National Logistics Policy (NLP) and PM GatiShakti. It aims to benchmark and reward best practices in the logistics sector. LEAPS 2025 encourages innovation, sustainability, and collaboration among diverse logistics stakeholders across India.
LEAPS 2025 was unveiled during the 4th anniversary celebration of PM GatiShakti at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This flagship program falls under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). It aims to acknowledge the hard work put into enhancing logistics efficiency and competitiveness across the country. Registrations for the awards opened in 2025 with a deadline of 15th November.
LEAPS 2025 is inclusive, covering a broad spectrum of logistics participants. This includes air, road, sea, and rail freight operators, as well as warehousing providers, multimodal transporters, MSMEs, startups, and academic institutions. The initiative is crafted to inspire innovation and leadership throughout the entire logistics ecosystem.
The initiative also emphasizes sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, and Green Logistics, encouraging collaboration between Government, Industry, and Academia to enhance efficiency, transparency, and resilience in the logistics ecosystem.
LEAPS 2025 builds upon the transformative vision of PM GatiShakti and the National Logistics Policy (NLP) 2022, aiming to promote efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability in India’s logistics sector.
