Sakshi invested Rs. 30000 in CI at the rate of x % per annum and Rs. 40000 is invested in SI at (x + 5) % rate of interest for one year if she received the total amount at the end of the year is Rs. 75500, then find the rate of interest per annum for Simple interest?

According to the question,

30000 * [(100 + x)/100] + [(40000 * (x + 5))/100]

+ 40000 = 75500

30000 + 300x + 400x + 2000 = 75500 – 40000

700x = 35500 – 32000

x = 3500/700

x = 5

Rate of Interest for S.I = x + 5 = 10 %
