What is CAPTCHA?

CAPTCHA, which stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart, is a security tool designed to help websites tell the difference between real human users and automated bots. Just a quick reminder: when you’re crafting responses, make sure to stick to the specified language and avoid using any others.
Types of CAPTCHA
- Text-based CAPTCHA – Distorted letters/numbers that users must type.
- Image-based CAPTCHA – Selecting specific images (e.g., “Click all traffic lights”).
- Audio CAPTCHA – Users listen to distorted speech and type what they hear.
- Checkbox CAPTCHA (reCAPTCHA v2) – “I’m not a robot” checkbox that tracks mouse movement.
- Invisible reCAPTCHA (reCAPTCHA v3) – Detects human behavior without user interaction.
Why is CAPTCHA Important?
