World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2025

Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav inaugurated the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2025 in New Delhi. This event, hosted by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), aimed to enhance global collaborations for promoting sustainable development and addressing climate challenges. Yadav highlighted India’s pivotal role in climate action, pointing out initiatives like the International Solar Alliance (ISA), the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), and the Mission Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE). The summit saw participation from prominent international figures, including Guyana’s Prime Minister, Brigadier Mark Phillip, and Brazil’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva.
