- Anik Dutta\u2019s Aparajito, which will receive its \u2018India Premiere\u2019, will be the festival\u2019s opening film. The film is a tribute to Satyajit Ray\u2019s classic Pather Panchali, which was inspired by the making of the film.<\/li>
- On May 4, a panel discussion will follow the screening of Pather Panchali, the internationally famous movie on human documenting that Ray first exposed to the globe.<\/li>

Key points of the Index:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n- India has slipped 8 places on the World Press Freedom Index 2022. With a global score of 41, India has gone down to the 150th position from 142 last year.<\/li>
- The ranking of India\u2019s neighbours, except that of Nepal, has also slid down, with the index placing. Nepal <\/strong>has climbed up by 30 points in the global ranking at 76th position.<\/strong><\/li>
