{"id":109033,"date":"2022-05-27T07:43:09","date_gmt":"2022-05-27T02:13:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/?p=109033"},"modified":"2022-05-27T07:43:11","modified_gmt":"2022-05-27T02:13:11","slug":"sc-appoints-3-member-committee-to-oversee-the-functioning-of-aiff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/sc-appoints-3-member-committee-to-oversee-the-functioning-of-aiff\/","title":{"rendered":"SC appoints 3-member Committee to oversee the functioning of AIFF"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Supreme Court (SC) has appointed a three-member Committee of Administrators (CoA) to oversee the running of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) till elections are held to the game&#8217;s governing body in the country and the adoption of its constitution in accordance with the National Sports Code and model guidelines, led by former apex court judge&nbsp;<strong>AR Dave<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>KEY POINTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The COA will include two previous members \u2014&nbsp;<strong>Dr SY Qureshi<\/strong>, former Chief Election Commissioner, and&nbsp;<strong>Bhaskar Ganguly,<\/strong>&nbsp;former captain of the Indian Football Team, in addition to Retired Justice Dave, according to a bench of Justices&nbsp;<strong>DY Chandrachud, Surya Kant<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>PS Narasimha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top court stated that the current state of affairs in the AIFF is not conducive to the federation\u2019s legitimate governance.
