International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Cup 2022<\/strong> was held at Suhl in Germany.<\/strong> The Indian contingent was led by ace shooters Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary. At the ISSF Junior World Cup 2022, the Indian junior shooting team came in first position overall. India\u2019s tally of 33 medals \u2013 13 golds, 15 silvers, and five bronze \u2013 was the most by any country at the 2022 edition. Italy \u2013 with four golds, two silvers and five bronze medals \u2013 finished second on the table. With four gold medals, Italy came in second place.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the last edition of the ISSF Junior World Cup in 2021, India had 43 medals \u2013 17 golds, 16 silvers and 10 bronze \u2013 to top the medals table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday accepted the proposal for the creation of a brand new Defence Estates Circle completely for Uttarakhand on Might 26, 2022. In view of the difficulties confronted in managing massive tracts of defence land within the state and the demand of cantonment residents in Uttrakhand, the MoD will set up an unbiased workplace of Defence Estates at Dehradun and a sub-office at Ranikhet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        In order to further decentralize the governance structure, Raksha Mantri has also approved the establishment of a sub-office at Ranikhet under the administrative jurisdiction of Defence Estates Dehradun to deal exclusively with six districts of the Kumaon region of the state. Earlier, the entire defence land and cantonments in Uttrakhand were covered under two distinct Defence Estates Circles headquartered at Meerut and Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        RBI issues norms for gold import by qualified jewellers through IIBX<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued norms for facilitating physical import of gold through India International Bullion Exchange IFSC (IIBX) or similar authorised exchange by Qualified Jewellers in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        As per the guidelines, banks may allow Qualified Jewellers to remit advance payments for 11 days for import of gold through IIBX in compliance to the extant Foreign Trade Policy and regulations issued under IFSC Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Moody\u2019s cuts CY22 India GDP growth forecast to 8.8% amid rising inflation<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Moody\u2019s Investors Service has cut its gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast for India to 8.8% for calendar year 2022 (CY22) from its March estimate of 9.1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Reason: Rising inflation and interest rates will temper the economic growth momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        It projected inflation to be around 6.8% and 5.2% for 2022 and 2023, respectively. Earlier, the S&P Global Ratings had cut India\u2019s growth projection for 2022-23 to 7.3 per cent, from 7.8 per cent earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Sebi withdraws permanent recognition granted to ICEX<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        SEBI has withdrawn the recognition granted to the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The withdrawal of recognition follows an order passed by SEBI on May 10 after finding the bourse non-compliant on several grounds like net worth and infrastructural requirements. After this, the ICEX has been directed to transfer the money available in the Investor Protection Fund and Investor Services Fund of ICEX to Sebi\u2019s Investor Protection and Education Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Bank of Baroda Financial and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) in partnership with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), have launched HPCL BoB co-branded contactless RuPay Credit Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The card includes various features such as rewards for spending on utilities, grocery and departmental stores. This card can be used across merchants and ATMs globally through the JCB network. BOB Financial is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bank of Baroda (BoB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        CCEA clears sale of govt\u2019s 29.5% stake in Hindustan Zinc<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has cleared the government\u2019s 29.5% stake sale in Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) to fetch around Rs 38,000 crore to the exchequer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This decision will strengthen the government\u2019s disinvestment drive in the current fiscal year. The government has budgeted Rs. 65,000 crore from PSU disinvestment and strategic sale.
