To provide education in Buddhist philosophies, culture and\nArt and to promote research in different aspects of Buddhism, preserve ancient\nBuddhist manuscripts, digitize ancient Buddhist text preserved in the languages\nof Pali, Sanskrit, Tibetan, Chinese, Japanese and other Asian languages through\nthe system of a modern university, this Ministry has established one institute\nnamely \u201cCentral  Institute of Himalayan\nCulture Studies\u201d (CIHCS), Dahung, Arunachal Pradesh and taken over the\nfollowing three Institutions, which have been granted Deemed University Status\nby UGC :<\/p>\n\n\n\n
