A delegation of MLAs from Gujarat recently visited the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, to learn about the novel e-Vidhan system for paperless proceedings that has been recently adopted by the UP state assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25c7 The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs (MoPA) is the \u2018Nodal Ministry\u2019 for its implementation in all the 31 States\/UTs with Legislatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25c7 The funding for e-Vidhan is provided by the MoPA and technical support by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MietY).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u25c7 The funding of NeVA is through Central Sponsored Schemee. 60:40; and 90:10 for North East & hilly States and 100% for UTs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
