The cabinet has approved the setting up of the Gati Shakti University. Once realised, this will be the second central university in Gujarat after the Central University of Gujarat (CUG). According to the minister, the capacity of the Gati Shakti University will be increased and more courses will be introduced. The Union Cabinet gave its approval to introduce a Bill in Parliament, namely, the Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2022 to amend the Central Universities Act, 2009 for setting up of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
