He was 82. Singh was best known for songs such as \u2018Duniya Chhute Yaar Na Chhute\u2019 (\u201cDharam Kanta\u201d), \u2018Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Aasman\u2019 (\u201cSitara\u201d), which he sang with the late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, \u2018Dil Dhoondta Hai\u2019 (\u201cMausam\u201d), \u2018Naam Gum Jayega\u2019 (\u201cKinara\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\nIn his five-decade-long career, the singer, born in Amritsar, Punjab, had worked with the biggest names of the music industry such as Mohammed Rafi, R D Burman, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Bappi Lahiri, among others.
