The Reserve Bank-led monetary policy committee in the August 5 policy review projected the economy to grow 16.2 per cent in the April-June quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other Prospects:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>high base effect<\/strong>\u00a0along with the impact of the heatwave on wheat output, geo-political issues and elevated commodity prices on demand\/margins will temper the pace of growth in Q1 at 13 per cent, Nayar of Icra said, adding the gross value added to come in at 12.6 per cent. The U.K. economy contracted by 9.9% in 2020, its largest annual contraction since the Great Frost of 1709, as the coronavirus pandemic ravaged economic activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the economy grew 1% in the last quarter when looser restrictions boosted the services industry, overall output was down 7.8% from the last quarter of 2019, the ONS said.
