Credit Suisse has appointed Dixit Joshi as chief financial officer with effect from October 1, 2022 and Francesca McDonagh as group chief operating officer from September 19, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to this, Dixit Joshi was group treasurer at Deutsche Bank and also worked at Credit Suisse from 1995 to 2003. He replaced David Mathers, who stepped down from the post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IIT Guwahati developed new method to produce sugar substitute<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

IIT Guwahati researchers have developed a new method, ultrasound-assisted fermentation, to produce a safe sugar substitute called \u2018Xylitol\u2019 from sugarcane waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Xylitol is a\u00a0sugar alcohol derived from natural products. It has potential antidiabetic and anti-obesogenic effects and is a\u00a0mild prebiotic and protects teeth against caries. The research team was\u00a0led by Professor VS Moholkar. Other team members:\u00a0Dr. Belachew Zegale Tizazu and Dr. Kuldeep Roy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Godrej Agrovet signs MoU with Assam, Manipur and Tripura for Oil palm<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Godrej Agrovet has signed an MoU with Assam, Manipur and Tripura governments for the development and promotion of oil palm cultivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Godrej Agrovet would be allotted land across the three states for the promotion and development of sustainable palm oil plantations in the region\u00a0under the National Mission on Edible Oils-Oil Palm (NMEO-OP) scheme. Godrej Agrovet is a\u00a0diversified food and agri conglomerate. India is one of the world\u2019s biggest importer of edible oils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Govt amends rules for benefits to SC judges<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Centre govt has amended SC Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Act, 1958 for providing additional post-retirement benefits to retired Chief Justices and SC judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those judges, who retire from SC will be\u00a0entitled to a rent free Type-VII accommodation at Delhi\u00a0(other than the designated official residence) for a period of\u00a06 months from the date of retirement. The retired SC CJI and judges will get a\u00a0chauffeur and secretarial assistant for 1 year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adani Group acquires 29.18% in NDTV<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

AMG Media Networks Limited (AMNL), a subsidiary of Adani Group has indirectly acquired a 29.18% stake in media and news broadcaster New Delhi Television (NDTV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AMG Media Networks (AMN) would acquire 29.18% of NDTV through an investor in the channel, Vishvapradhan Commercial (VCPL). VCPL will have to make an open offer to acquire 26 % of NDTV from public shareholders at Rs 294 apiece, a total cost of around Rs 483 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is among the\u00a0four journalists including Anthony Del Col, Josh Adams and Walt Hickey of Insider,\u00a0selected for their work on the Chinese oppression of the Uyghurs. HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company has launched a portal named \u2018All Things EV\u2019 (www.allthingsev.io) for Electric Vehicles (EV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the country\u2019s first one-stop-solution portal that can be used by existing and potential EV users. This portal provides information on nearby charging stations, locations of charging stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform\u00a0serves to all Indians\u00a0who have either purchased EVs or are planning to buy EV or to make an earning out of the booming EV space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RBL bank appoints Gopal Jain, Sivakumar Gopalan as non-executive directors<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

DRDO, Indian Navy successfully test fire indigenous VL-SRSAM from Chandipur<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

India has successfully test-fired Vertical Launch Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile (VL-SRSAM) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the Odisha coast. The missile was tested by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This missile is equipped with indigenous radio frequency (RF) seeker, intercepted the target with high accuracy. The missile system has been indigenously designed and developed by DRDO<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is a 14-digit number that helps users to share and access their health records digitally with listed healthcare providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0National Health Authority (NHA)\u00a0is the\u00a0nodal agency\u00a0for implementing this program under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MoU was signed by secretary Shri R. Subrahmanyam, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Dr. R.S.
