It issued a circular granting one-time\ndispensation for utilizing funds under the Members of Parliament Local Area\nDevelopment Scheme (MPLADS) to address the challenges in the fight against\nCOVID-19. This will facilitate Members of Parliament to recommend funds for\npurchase of equipments for Government Hospitals \/ Dispensaries for medical\ntesting and screening of patients and also facilitate in setting up other\nrelated facilities in their respective constituencies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the amendments to MPLADS Guidelines, Members of\nParliament can now utilize funds under MPLADS for the following:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Infra-Red thermometers (Non-contact) to enable\ndoctors and medical personnel to record and track a person\u2019s temperature.<\/li><li>Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Kits to keep\nthe medical personnel well-protected and enable them to function efficiently by\nminimizing the risk of transmission.<\/li><li>Thermal imaging scanners or cameras for railway\nstations, airports and other points of entry which allow detecting of\ntemperature from a safe distance.<\/li><li>CORONA testing kits approved by M\/o Health and\nFamily Welfare<\/li><li>ICU Ventilator and Isolation\/ Quarantine Wards\nwithin their approved facilities.<\/li><li>Face masks, gloves and Sanitizers for medical\npersonnel.<\/li><li>Any other medical equipment recommended by\nMinistry of Health and Family Welfare for prevention, control and treatment of\nCOVID-19.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a part of Government\u2019s efforts to contain spread of COVID \u2013 19, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has taken several preventive measures.
