The award recognises Pawar for his immense contribution and exemplary work in the field of education as well as creating the IT Training industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/category\/daily-quiz\/daily-quiz-november-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">November 2022 Current Affairs Quiz<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A high-level jury panel chaired by Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, Indian National Research Professor and Chancellor, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and former Director General of CSIR, selected the Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Under Pawar\u2019s leadership:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NIIT has played a key role in shaping the growth of the Indian IT sector, by creating skilled manpower to drive its momentum. Along with revolutionizing the IT Training industry, he is now also involved in establishing an innovative model in Higher Education through the not-for-profit NIIT University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pawar was awarded the country&#8217;s greatest civilian honour, Padma Bhushan, by the President of India in 2011 for his extraordinary achievement in his area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pawar has also been honoured with several other prestigious awards such as \u2018Lifetime Achievement Award\u2019 at Dataquest ICT Awards 2019, the \u2018Distinguished Alumnus Award\u2019 from IIT in 1995, the Ernst &amp; Young\u2019s \u2018Master Entrepreneur of the Year Award\u2019 in 1999, and The Global India Splendor Award in 2013. In 1998, he was named &#8220;IT Man of the Year&#8221; by the IT industry newspaper Dataquest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the FICCI:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Established in 1927, FICCI is the largest and oldest apex business organisation in India.
