According to the data, Assam has the highest\u00a0Maternal Mortality\u00a0Ratio (MMR) of 195 while Kerala has the lowest of 19 per lakh live births.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/category\/daily-quiz\/daily-quiz-december-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">December 2022 Current Affairs Quiz<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MMR:&nbsp;The number of maternal deaths during a given time period per one lakh live births.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon achieving this, the country has accomplished the National Health Policy target for MMR of less than 100 per lakh live births and is on the right track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal target of MMR of less than 70 per lakh live births by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of states which have achieved the Sustainable Development Goal target has now risen from six to eight leading with Kerala, followed by Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra &nbsp;Pradesh, and &nbsp;Tamil Nadu.
