Meanwhile, the track\u00a0<strong>Naatu Naatu from SS Rajamouli\u2019s RRR<\/strong>\u00a0has been shortlisted in the\u00a0<strong>Best Original Song Category.<\/strong>\u00a0The Academy announced the list of shortlisted entries in 10 categories. The nominations for the Academy Awards will be announced on January 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/category\/daily-quiz\/daily-quiz-december-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">December 2022 Current Affairs Quiz<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>India\u2019s history with the Oscar entries for the last few years were \u2013 Koozhangal, Jallikattu, Gully Boy, Village Rockstars, Newton, Visaranani, all of which have failed to make the Oscar shortlist. The only Indian films to have been nominated for an Oscar so far have been Mother India, Salaam Bombay and Lagaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Some important points:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As far as RRR\u2019s best song category is concerned, 15 songs have been shortlisted from among 81 tunes. Other songs include \u2018Nothing Is Lost\u2019 from \u2018Avatar: The way Of Water\u2019, \u2018Lift Me Up\u2019 from \u2018Blank Panther: Wakanda Forever\u2019, \u2018Hold My Hand\u2019 from \u2018Top Gun: Maverick\u2019 among others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences unveiled its shortlists for the 10 Oscar categories that will be presented in 2023, including documentary and international features, as well as a documentary short subject, makeup and hairstyling, original score, original song, animated short, live-action short, sound, and visual effects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15 international feature films advanced out of the films from 92 countries and regions that were eligible. The list includes Close (Belgium), Decision to Leave (South Korea), All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany), Alejandro G.
