{"id":127937,"date":"2023-01-06T12:46:11","date_gmt":"2023-01-06T07:16:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/?p=127937"},"modified":"2023-01-06T12:46:12","modified_gmt":"2023-01-06T07:16:12","slug":"cabinet-approves-continuation-of-schemes-of-ministry-of-development-of-ner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/cabinet-approves-continuation-of-schemes-of-ministry-of-development-of-ner\/","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet approves continuation of Schemes of Ministry of Development of NER"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Cabinet approves continuation of Schemes of Ministry of Development of NER:<\/strong> The Govt has approved continuation of\u00a0schemes of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region,\u00a0with an\u00a0outlay of 12,882 crore rupees\u00a0for the\u00a0balance period of the 15th Finance Commission (2022-23 to 2025-26).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/category\/daily-quiz\/daily-quiz-january-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">January 2023 Current Affairs Quiz<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Union Cabinet, chaired by Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved continuation of Schemes of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region , with an outlay of \u20b912882.2 crore, for the balance period of the 15th Finance Commission (2022-23 to 2025-26).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the Expendidture Filnance Committee (EFC) recommendations, the outlay for the North East Special Infrastructure Scheme (NESIDS) will be Rs.8139.5 crore including committed liabilities of ongoing projects. The outlay for \u2018Schemes of NEC\u2019 will be Rs.3202.7 crore including committed liabilities of ongoing projects. The outlay for Special Packages for BTC, DHATC and KAATC in Assam is Rs.1540 (BTC- Rs 500 crore, KAATC \u2013 Rs 750 crore and old packages of BTC, DHATC &amp; KAATC \u2013 Rs 290 crore). The NESIDS, a Central Sector Scheme with 100% Central funding, has been restructured having two components \u2013 NESIDS (Roads) and NESIDS (Other than Road Infrastructure).
