He&nbsp;retired as the BSF chief&nbsp;on December 31, 2022. Prakash Singh,&nbsp;a 1959-batch IPS officer, had headed BSF from June 1993 to January 1994. He has also served in the Rajasthan Police and CBI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, he served as Inspector General of the CRPF in Chhattisgarh and IG (Operations) at CRPF, Delhi.
