The themes of the exhibition include&nbsp;Amrit Mahotsav of Independence and New India, women power, youth power, nature and wildlife, and culture and history of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/category\/daily-quiz\/daily-quiz-february-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">February 2023 Current Affairs Quiz<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister of State for Communications,&nbsp;Devusinh Chauhan, Secretary, Department of Posts,&nbsp;Vineet Pandey, Director General Postal Services,&nbsp;Alok Sharma&nbsp;were present on the occasion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Commemorative Postage Stamp<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Department of Posts also released a&nbsp;commemorative postage stamp on the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This stamp has been prepared from the best entries of the&nbsp;National Comprehensive Design Competition&nbsp;in which more than 4 lakh students participated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The competition was organised on an all India basis in collaboration with the&nbsp;Department of School Education and Ministry of Culture, Government of India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>India Post<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>India Post was established on April 1, 1854, and it serves as the country&#8217;s main mail service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It works under the&nbsp;Ministry of Communications, Government of India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>India&#8217;s postal system is one of the most widely distributed networks in the world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>India is divided into&nbsp;23 postal circles&nbsp;headed by the Chief Postmaster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Postal Index Number&nbsp;is a 6 digit code of post office introduced on&nbsp;15 August 1972.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Department of Posts has transformed into a digital network for banking, service delivery and social security payment network.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>India Post has become vital to the common people in the fields of services, banking and insurance through a dense network of&nbsp;1.5 lakh postal branches&nbsp;across the country, especially for rural India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is quite popular in rural India as it is one of the oldest institutes in India in terms of better service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurates AMRPTEX 2023: The Minister for Communications, Electronics &amp; Information Technology and Railways,\u00a0Ashwini Vaishnaw\u00a0inaugurated\u00a0AMRITPEX 2023 &#8211; National Philatelic Exhibition\u00a0on 11 February in\u00a0New Delhi.
