Tata Group becomes the title sponsor for WPL: <\/strong>The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that Tata Group has secured the title rights to the Women’s Premier League (WPL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tata has signed a five-year deal as WPL title sponsor from 2023 until 2027. It is also the title sponsor of the men’s Indian Premier League (IPL), stepping into the position after Chinese mobile phone maker Vivo pulled out in 2021. The first match of WPL 2023 will begin between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians on March 4 at the DY Patil Stadium.

In its first season, the WPL will stage a total of 20 league matches and two Playoff games that will be played.
