The \u201cYoga Mahotsav\u201d is being organised by the Ministry of Ayush in collaboration with the MDNIY. This year\u2019s International Day of Yoga (IDY) endeavours to connect with the larger global community, as India\u2019s G20 presidency theme \u201cOne World, One Health Resonates with the principle of \u201cVasudhaiva Kutumbakam\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As higher interest rates caused the market for initial public offerings to shut down for many startups and made private fundraising more costly, some large clients pulled money from the bank and it was forced to sell some of the distressed securities in order to provide the cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bank\u2019s vulnerable balance sheet scared other major depositors, who withdrew their funds, sparking a bank run that gained momentum quickly because the bank relied on a relatively small number of large depositors. It collapsed within days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To fund the redemptions, SVB sold a $21 billion bond portfolio consisting mostly of U.S. Treasuries, and said it would sell $2.25 billion in common equity and preferred convertible stock to fill its funding hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collapsing stock price had made its capital raise untenable and sources said the bank tried to look at other options, including a sale, until regulators stepped in and shut the bank down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
