Union Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has launched the National Crop Insurance Portal\u2019s digitized claim settlement module namely DigiClaim under the ambit of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022Developed by the integration of the National Crop Insurance Portal (NCIP) and the Public Finance Management System (PFMS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022It will disburse claims electronically, thus easing the lives of insured farmers and providing them with sustainable financial support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022It is part of the Indian government\u2019s effort to make farmers self-reliant and strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022DigiClaim will reduce claim reversal and enable farmers to track their claim settlement process in real-time through their mobile phones<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022Farmers\u2019 claims will be processed directly to their respective bank accounts in a transparent and accountable manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022Other technology being used in PFMS: Weather Information and Network Data Systems (WINDS), Yield Estimation System based on Technology (YES-Tech), Collection of Real-Time Observations and Photographs of Crops (CROPIC), and Farmer Grievance Portal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
