Minister for municipal administration and urban development K.T. Rama Rao launched the policy with a vision to make the state a more thermally comfortable and heat resilient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/category\/daily-quiz\/daily-quiz-april-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">April 2023 Current Affairs Quiz<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The policy aims to drive state-wide adoption of cool roofs by making it mandatory to install cool roofing materials, such as solar reflective paints, tiles, or sheets. It is a&nbsp;five-year policy, that&nbsp;came into force on April 1, 2023, and continues till March 31, 2028.
