As per the announcement made under the Pradhan Mantri Garib\nKalyan Package, the launch of \u2018Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package: Insurance\nScheme for Health Workers Fighting COVID-19\u2019 has been approved with the\nfollowing conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. It will provide an insurance cover of Rs. 50\nlakh for ninety (90) days to a total of around 22.12 lakh public healthcare\nproviders, including community health workers, who may have to be in direct\ncontact and care of COVID-19 patients and who may be at risk of being impacted\nby this. It will also include accidental loss of life on account of contracting\nCOVID-19;<\/li>
  2. On account of the unprecedented situation,\nprivate hospital staff\/ retired\/volunteer\/ local urban bodies\/contract\/daily\nwage\/ ad-hoc\/outsourced staff requisitioned by States\/ Central\nhospitals\/autonomous hospitals of Central\/States\/UTs, AIIMS & INIs\/\nhospitals of Central Ministries can also be drafted for COVID-19 related\nresponsibilities. These cases will also be covered subject to numbers indicated\nby Ministry of Health & Family Welfare;<\/li>
  3. The insurance provided under this scheme would\nbe over and above any other insurance cover being availed of by the\nbeneficiary.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
