{"id":154582,"date":"2023-08-05T12:36:23","date_gmt":"2023-08-05T07:06:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/?p=154582"},"modified":"2023-08-05T12:36:30","modified_gmt":"2023-08-05T07:06:30","slug":"government-launched-the-scheme-vivad-se-vishwas-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/government-launched-the-scheme-vivad-se-vishwas-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Government launched the scheme &#8211; Vivad se Vishwas-II"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Government launched the scheme &#8211; Vivad se Vishwas-II:<\/strong> Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman\u00a0has launched the scheme,\u00a0\u201cVivad se Vishwas 2 in the Union Budget 2023-24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/daily-current-affairs-and-quiz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Current Affairs Quiz: August 2023<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aims:&nbsp;To resolve the govt&#8217;s contractual disputes with private parties, clear the backlog of litigation, and improve the ease of doing business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Objective:&nbsp;To settle contractual disputes of government and government undertakings, wherein arbitral award is under challenge in a court, a voluntary settlement scheme with standardized terms will be introduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cases satisfying the following criteria will be eligible for settlement under this scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Status of dispute<\/td><td>The award shall have been issued upto the following date<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Arbitral Award passed<\/td><td>31.01.2023<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Court Award passed<\/td><td>30.04.2023<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The scheme will apply to all domestic contractual disputes where one of the parties is either the Government of India or an organisation working under its control.
