She was last heard during the countdown to the launch of Chandrayaan-3, which made a historic landing on the Moon. Chandrayaan-3 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on July 14. Chandrayan 3 was her final countdown announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/daily-current-affairs-and-quiz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Current Affairs Quiz: September 2023<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Career of N Valarmathi&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valarmathi was a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for over 30 years. She was the voice behind the countdowns for many ISRO launches, including the historic Chandrayaan-3 mission, which made a soft landing on the Moon in July 2023. Millions of Indians who tuned in to watch the ISRO launches recognised her calm and reassuring voice. She was also known for her work in the development of space applications for the benefit of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valarmathi\u2019s death is a great loss to the Indian space community. She was a dedicated scientist and a gifted communicator who inspired many people.
