a&nbsp;<strong>1000-km<\/strong>&nbsp;long&nbsp;<strong>economic corridor,<\/strong>&nbsp;backed by a significant investment of&nbsp;<strong>Rs 3000 crore.<\/strong>&nbsp;The cabinet\u2019s decision marks a substantial step forward in regional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In-Principle Approval Under Asom Mala Scheme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>State Minister&nbsp;<strong>Jayanta Malla Baruah<\/strong>&nbsp;informed the press that the state cabinet has granted its in-principle approval for the project under the&nbsp;<strong>Asom Mala Scheme,<\/strong>&nbsp;indicating the government\u2019s commitment to this substantial infrastructure endeavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rural Infrastructure Improvement Funded by NABARD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In another significant development, the cabinet has approved projects totaling&nbsp;<strong>Rs 950 crore<\/strong>&nbsp;aimed at enhancing rural infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funding for these projects will be sourced through a loan from&nbsp;<strong>NABARD.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The funds will be used to upgrade&nbsp;<strong>90 rural roads<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>four rural bridges<\/strong>&nbsp;managed by the&nbsp;<strong>Public Works Department.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financial Prudence in Cabinet Meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a move to exercise financial prudence, the cabinet has advised deputy commissioners to limit expenditure for cabinet meetings to&nbsp;<strong>Rs 5 lakh.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This measure includes discouraging new repair works on circuit houses and inspection bungalows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is noteworthy that the state cabinet convenes its meetings at various district headquarters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rotational Cabinet Meetings Across Districts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The cabinet also decided to rotate the locations of its meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the coming months, cabinet meetings in November and December will take place in&nbsp;<strong>Tinsukia and North Lakhimpur<\/strong>&nbsp;districts, respectively, while in January of the following year, the meeting will be held in&nbsp;<strong>Nagaon.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eco-Sensitive Zone Declaration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Another important decision was the approval of the revised draft notification to declare an eco-sensitive zone in the&nbsp;<strong>1 km radius<\/strong>&nbsp;around the&nbsp;<strong>Bherjan-Borajan-Padumoni Wildlife Sanctuary in Tinsukia.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This move aligns with a directive from the&nbsp;<strong>Supreme Court,<\/strong>&nbsp;highlighting the government\u2019s commitment to environmental conservation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Judicial Guest House and Office Building Approval<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The cabinet granted its consent for the allotment of a plot for the construction of a judicial guest house in&nbsp;<strong>Kaziranga,<\/strong>&nbsp;intended to accommodate state guests and guests of the&nbsp;<strong>Gauhati High Court.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additionally, the cabinet has approved an additional&nbsp;<strong>Rs 11.91 crore<\/strong>&nbsp;to facilitate the completion of a new office building for the Commissioner of Taxes, further enhancing administrative infrastructure in the
