Commodore Sunil Kaushik<\/strong>, launched the remarkable vessel, the 25T Bollard Pull Tug named \u2018Mahabali<\/strong>,\u2019 on the 28th of October 2023 at M\/s Shoft Shipyard Pvt Ltd in Bharuch, Gujarat<\/strong>. This launch not only represented a new addition to India\u2019s naval fleet but also a significant milestone in the \u2018Make in India\u2019 initiative of the Ministry of Defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contract with M\/s Shoft Shipyard Pvt Ltd<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The construction and delivery of the \u2018Mahabali\u2019 and two other 25T BP Tugs<\/strong> were the result of a concluded contract with M\/s Shoft Shipyard Pvt Ltd<\/strong> (SSPL). This shipyard, an MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise), played a pivotal role in bringing this project to fruition. The contract aligns with the overarching vision of \u2018Aatmanirbhar Bharat<\/strong>,\u2019 the self-reliant India initiative of the Government of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Classification Under Indian Register of Shipping<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 25T BP Tugs, including \u2018Mahabali,\u2019 have been meticulously built under the classification rules of the Indian Register of Shipping<\/strong> (IRS). This classification ensures that the vessels meet the highest standards in terms of safety and quality, which is imperative for any naval operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
