This scheme, with a substantial total outlay of\u00a0<b>Rs 24,104 crore<\/b>, reflects the government\u2019s commitment to uplift tribal communities across the country.Announcement and AllocationPrime  Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the PM-JANMAN on\u00a0Janjatiya Gaurav      Diwas in Jharkhand\u2019s Khunti, emphasizing the significance of empowering these communities.<\/p>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">The  scheme has received a nod from the Union Cabinet, with a central share of      Rs 15,336 crore and states contributing Rs 8,768 crore.<\/li>  <p class=\"MsoNormal\">Focus on Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups<b>Seventy-five communities<\/b>\u00a0spread across 18 states and the Union Territory of      Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been identified as Particularly      Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).<\/p>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">These groups continue to grapple with<b>\u00a0vulnerabilities in social, economic,  and educational sectors.<\/b><\/li>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">The  PM-JANMAN aims to address these challenges and uplift the PVTGs to ensure their holistic development.<\/li>  <p class=\"MsoNormal\">Key Interventions and Ministries InvolvedThe  PM-JANMAN is designed to<b>\u00a0implement 11 critical interventions<\/b>,  spanning across nine ministries, including the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.<\/p>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">The comprehensive approach ensures that various facets of the PVTGs\u2019  challenges are addressed collaboratively.<\/li>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">The involvement of multiple ministries showcases a concerted effort to create  a holistic impact on the lives of tribal communities.<\/li>  <p class=\"MsoNormal\">Ministry of Ayush\u2019s Role<\/p> <ul style=\"margin-top:0in\" type=\"disc\">  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">The\u00a0<b>Ministry of Ayush<\/b>\u00a0plays a pivotal role in the PM-JANMAN initiative by establishing Ayush Wellness Centres in line with existing norms.<\/li>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">These wellness centres\u00a0<b>aim to provide traditional Ayush healthcare facilities<\/b>\u00a0to PVTG habitations.<\/li>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">Additionally, the scheme envisions extending Ayush facilities to PVTGs through mobile    medical units, ensuring healthcare reaches the doorstep of these vulnerable communities.<\/li> <\/ul> <p class=\"MsoNormal\">Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship<li class=\"MsoNormal\">To  enhance the socio-economic conditions of PVTGs, the\u00a0<b>Ministry of  Skill Development and Entrepreneurship<\/b>\u00a0is actively involved in facilitating skill and vocational training.<\/li>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">The  scheme envisions the\u00a0<b>establishment of training centers in PVTG  habitations<\/b>, multi-purpose centres, and hostels.<\/li>  <li class=\"MsoNormal\">This  approach aligns with the skills prevalent in these communities, fostering     sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment.<\/li> <\/p> <p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/p> <p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/p> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has recently approved the\u00a0Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN), a comprehensive initiative aimed at addressing the\u00a0challenges faced by Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups\u00a0(PVTGs).
