The currency, which is being referred to internally\nas&nbsp;<strong>\u201cGlobalCoin,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;will\nreportedly be available in around a dozen countries at launch, where it\u2019s\nexpected to offer people affordable and secure payments without the need for a\nbank account.<br>\nThe currency will need to overcome numerous\ntechnical and regulatory hurdles before it can be launched.<strong>&nbsp;Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg&nbsp;<\/strong>met\nwith the<strong>&nbsp;Bank of\nEngland\u2019s governor&nbsp;<\/strong>Mark Carney to discuss the\nopportunities and risks of the planned&nbsp;<strong>digital currency.&nbsp;<\/strong><br><br><strong>India-Key\nfocus:<\/strong><br>\nHowever, Facebook might have a harder job on its\nhands in<strong>&nbsp;India,&nbsp;<\/strong>which\nhas taken a hostile attitude towards virtual currencies.
