The event celebrated Akhtar\u2019s acclaimed work in cinema and Khan\u2019s contributions to culinary arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Living Legend Award for Zoya Akhtar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Zoya Akhtar was honored with the\u00a0<strong>Living Legend Award<\/strong>\u00a0for her work in furthering the understanding of India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Akhtar is acclaimed for box-office successes such as\u00a0<strong>\u2018Luck By Chance\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>\u2018Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara\u2019<\/strong>, as well as her recent work\u00a0<strong>\u2018The Archies\u2019<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The 51-year-old daughter of writers\u00a0<strong>Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani<\/strong>\u00a0participated in a session focused on creative economies at the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Honor for Chef Asma Khan<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chef Asma Khan of the women-run\u00a0<strong>Darjeeling Express restaurant<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>London<\/strong>\u00a0was also honored.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An alumna of King\u2019s College London, Khan started her career in law before making her mark in the culinary arts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Asma Khan is also a cookery writer behind best-selling recipe books on\u00a0<strong>Indian cuisine<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Launch of India-UK Achievers Initiative<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This initiative was launched in partnership with the British Council in India and the Department of Trade of the UK Government.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) UK<\/strong>\u00a0launched the initiative last year in 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It was launched to celebrate bilateral educational relations between India and the UK.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At a ceremony in early March 2024, the\u00a0<strong>\u201cClass of 2024\u201d<\/strong>, comprising high achievers in the arts, sports, entrepreneurship, and medicine, was honored.
