Droupadi Murmu, in New Delhi on February 16, 2025. Organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, this festival celebrates the rich tribal heritage, culture, and traditions of India. The event is taking place at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, from February 16 to 24, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While addressing the gathering, President Murmu highlighted the significance of Aadi Mahotsav as an essential initiative aimed at showcasing and promoting the rich heritage of India\u2019s tribal communities. This festival serves as a vital link between tribal entrepreneurs, artisans, and artists and the wider market, providing them with an opportunity to present their talents and products to both national and international audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festival presents a unique opportunity to appreciate the traditional crafts, food, attire, jewelry, medical practices, household equipment, and sports of tribal societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President highlighted that over the past&nbsp;<strong>10 years<\/strong>, the Indian government has undertaken&nbsp;<strong>several significant initiatives<\/strong>&nbsp;for the&nbsp;<strong>upliftment and economic empowerment of tribal communities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Increased Budget Allocation for Tribal Welfare<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Tribal Development Budget<\/strong>\u00a0has seen a\u00a0<strong>fivefold increase<\/strong>, reaching approximately\u00a0<strong>\u20b9<\/strong><strong>1.25 lakh crore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Tribal Welfare Budget Allocation<\/strong>\u00a0has tripled, now standing at\u00a0<strong>\u20b9<\/strong><strong>15,000 crore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Tribal Festival \u2018Aadi Mahotsav\u2019 was inaugurated by the President of India, Smt.
