This newly constructed complex spans an impressive five lakh square feet over four acres and is intended to accommodate the expanding activities of the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility features three tall towers, auditoriums, a library, a hospital, a canteen, and a Hanuman temple. Designed with sustainability and modern infrastructure in mind, the headquarters is even larger than the BJP headquarters. This project, which had a budget of \u20b9150 crore, was fully financed through public donations, showcasing the strong support for the RSS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Grand Vision: Features of Keshav Kunj<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Three Towers: Sadhana, Prerana, and Archana<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Keshav Kunj complex<\/strong>&nbsp;features three distinct towers, each serving a specific purpose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Sadhana Tower:<\/strong>\u00a0Dedicated to the\u00a0<strong>organization\u2019s offices<\/strong>, ensuring seamless administrative operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prerana Tower:<\/strong>\u00a0Designed for\u00a0<strong>residential purposes<\/strong>, accommodating RSS functionaries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Archana Tower:<\/strong>\u00a0Also a\u00a0<strong>residential complex<\/strong>, providing living spaces for Sangh members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Between&nbsp;<strong>Prerana and Archana<\/strong>, there is a&nbsp;<strong>large manicured lawn<\/strong>&nbsp;with a&nbsp;<strong>statue of RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar<\/strong>. This open area is designated for&nbsp;<strong>daily shakhas<\/strong>&nbsp;and organizational gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. State-of-the-Art Auditoriums<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new&nbsp;<strong>RSS headquarters<\/strong>&nbsp;houses&nbsp;<strong>three large auditoriums<\/strong>, collectively offering a seating capacity of&nbsp;<strong>over 1,300 people<\/strong>. One of these is named after&nbsp;<strong>Ashok Singhal<\/strong>, the former&nbsp;<strong>Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president<\/strong>, and features&nbsp;<strong>stadium seating and cushioned sofa chairs<\/strong>&nbsp;to enhance the audience experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These auditoriums will be utilized for&nbsp;<strong>major events, training programs, and key organizational meetings<\/strong>, strengthening the RSS\u2019s outreach and engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Comprehensive Facilities: Library, Hospital, and Canteen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Keshav Pustakalaya (Library):<\/strong>\u00a0Located on the\u00a0<strong>10th floor<\/strong>, this library serves as a\u00a0<strong>research hub<\/strong>\u00a0with extensive resources on the RSS and related ideologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Five-Bed Hospital:<\/strong>\u00a0A\u00a0<strong>medical care unit<\/strong>\u00a0ensuring healthcare support for RSS members and visitors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mess and Canteen:<\/strong>\u00a0Providing daily meals and refreshments to the functionaries residing and working in the headquarters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Sustainable Architectural Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Keshav Kunj headquarters emphasizes sustainability in its design. The windows showcase facades that draw inspiration from the traditional architecture of Rajasthan and Gujarat, infusing a cultural element into the contemporary building. Additionally, 1,000 granite frames have been incorporated to minimize wood usage, enhancing the building&#8217;s eco-friendliness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The complex also includes&nbsp;<strong>parking space for 135 cars<\/strong>, with the capacity to expand up to&nbsp;<strong>270 vehicles<\/strong>, ensuring seamless accessibility for visitors and officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funding and Construction: A Public Effort<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most remarkable aspects of the&nbsp;<strong>Keshav Kunj<\/strong>&nbsp;project is its&nbsp;<strong>entirely donation-based funding<\/strong>. An RSS functionary revealed that&nbsp;<strong>as many as 75,000 individuals<\/strong>&nbsp;contributed towards its construction. Donations ranged from&nbsp;<strong>\u20b9<\/strong><strong>5 to several lakhs<\/strong>, demonstrating the widespread support and dedication of RSS workers and well-wishers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before shifting to&nbsp;<strong>Keshav Kunj<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>RSS<\/strong>&nbsp;had been operating from&nbsp;<strong>Udaseen Ashram in Jhandewalan<\/strong>&nbsp;for the past&nbsp;<strong>eight years<\/strong>. Functionaries started moving into the new headquarters gradually from&nbsp;<strong>September 2024<\/strong>, and the transition is now complete.
