To acknowledge and promote this change, the Ministry of Mines, in collaboration with Coal India Limited (CIL), organized the \u201cCelebrating Women in Mining Sector\u201d event as a lead-up to International Women\u2019s Day. The event aimed to celebrate women\u2019s contributions, confront challenges, and discuss ways to enhance inclusivity in mining. It was attended by prominent ministers, industry leaders, and professionals from top organizations like IBM, TATA, GSI, ADANI, and Vedanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, 46 exceptional women professionals were honored, and two panel discussions focused on gender inclusivity and empowerment took place. This initiative highlights the government\u2019s dedication to providing equal opportunities and dismantling barriers for women in the mining field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Highlights of the Event<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Organized by the Ministry of Mines in collaboration with Coal India Limited (CIL).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Attended by<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shri G. Kishan Reddy (Union Minister of Coal and Mines)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shri Satish Chandra Dubey (Minister of State for Coal and Mines)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minister of Women and Child Development, Telangana<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ministers emphasized the importance of women\u2019s inclusion in mining and highlighted various government initiatives to promote gender diversity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>46 women professionals honored for their contributions to the mining sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awardees included women from top organizations like IBM, TATA, GSI, ADANI, Vedanta, NGOs, PSUs, and private firms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Women leaders from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat\u2019s mining departments also participated, reflecting a nationwide commitment to empowerment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Women participants were invited to light the lamp, symbolizing progress and empowerment in mining.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The mining sector, traditionally a male-dominated industry, is witnessing a transformation with increasing participation of women.
