This initiative, led by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, began on February 1, 2023, and will last until August 15, 2023, under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The key thrust of the campaign is\u00a0to promote Digital Transactions in rural areas, particularly among women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aim:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To increase the\u00a0<strong>adoption of digital payment methods<\/strong>, particularly among women, in 50,000 Gram Panchayats across the country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It seeks to\u00a0<strong>empower rural communities<\/strong>\u00a0by enabling them to participate in the digital economy and access the benefits of digital transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is part of the larger&nbsp;<strong>AmritMahotsav<\/strong>&nbsp;celebrations and is being implemented under the AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, which commemorates&nbsp;<strong>75 years of India\u2019s independence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Shri Giriraj Singh, launched the \u2018Campaign on Promoting Digital Transactions in 50,000 Gram Panchayats\u2019 today in Lucknow, celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav.
