\u2022 Feedstock Diversification:
The policy permits more feedstocks for making biofuels than currently available, such as sugarcane juice, sugar, sugar syrup, biomass, agricultural residues, and non-food oilseeds.
\u2022 Advanced Biofuels:
The policy revolves around the production and utilization of next-generation biofuels, including second-generation (2G) ethanol and third-generation biofuels.
\u2022 Financial Incentives:
The policy offers budgetary support for biofuel production in the form of viability gap funding of 2G ethanol biorefineries and tax relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
National Biofuel Coordination Committee (NBCC):
The NBCC, led by the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will be the coordinating body for overall coordination, effective end-to-end implementation, and monitoring of the biofuel program.

The policy aims at enhancing the ethanol blending in gasoline to reach the target of 20% by ESY 2025-26.
