In Assam"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In Assam, there are many cultures, including tribes such as Bodo, Karbi, Rabha, Mishing, Dimasa and Deori and language groups like Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Nepali and Odia.<br>Here are a few communities in Assam that you should learn about:<br><strong>Tribal Communities:<br><\/strong>\u2022 Bodo: The Bodo are a considerable community in Assam, with many living in the plains.<br>\u2022 Karbi: The district of Karbi Anglong is home to the Karbi people, who are also known as the Mikirs.<br>Mishing: Another major tribal community in Assam is called the Mishing or Miri.<br>\u2022 Rabhas: The Rabhas constitute a large community of tribal people in Assam.<br>\u2022 Dimasa: The Dimasa are known as a tribal community who live in the Dima Hasao district.<br>\u2022 Deori: Deori are a tribal people in Assam.<br>Along with, the Lalung (Tiwa), Sonowal Kachari and Deori belong to the group of Scheduled Tribes as well.<br>16 sub-castes in Assam such as Namasudra, Kaibarta, Jalia and Muchi have been specified as Scheduled Castes.<br><strong>Linguistic Communities:<br><\/strong>Many people in the state speak Assamese, as it is the main language used in the region.<br>In addition, Bengali is spoken broadly in Assam, especially in the Barak Valley.<br>\u2022 In tea gardens, Hindi is the language spoken by many members of the population.<br>\u2022 Nepali: The language is consumed mainly in the western parts of Assam.<br>\u2022 Odia is found being spoken in the western areas of Assam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Other
