Chandrababu Naidu, this ambitious project aligns with India\u2019s commitment to clean energy and climate-conscious urbanization.<br>Located between Vijayawada and Guntur, Amaravati is being designed as a modern, eco-friendly \u201cpeople\u2019s capital\u201d, setting a global benchmark in sustainable city planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An Ambitious Greenfield Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation of this monumental initiative is expected to be laid by&nbsp;<strong>Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>, symbolizing national support for green development. The new capital city will cover&nbsp;<strong>217 square kilometres<\/strong>&nbsp;along the&nbsp;<strong>banks of the Krishna River<\/strong>, forming part of the larger&nbsp;<strong>Andhra Pradesh Capital Region<\/strong>, which spans&nbsp;<strong>8,352 sq km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a&nbsp;<strong>project cost estimated at \u20b965,000 crore<\/strong>, Amaravati is being developed as an&nbsp;<strong>eco-conscious urban center<\/strong>&nbsp;focused on&nbsp;<strong>clean energy, efficient infrastructure, and smart planning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Targeting 2,700 MW of Clean Energy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most striking features of Amaravati\u2019s development is its commitment to generating&nbsp;<strong>2,700 megawatts (MW)<\/strong>&nbsp;of electricity from&nbsp;<strong>solar<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>wind<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>hydropower sources<\/strong>.
