Located between Vijayawada and Guntur, Amaravati is being designed as a modern, eco-friendly \u201cpeople\u2019s capital\u201d, setting a global benchmark in sustainable city planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The foundation of this monumental initiative is expected to be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>, symbolizing national support for green development. The new capital city will cover 217 square kilometres<\/strong> along the banks of the Krishna River<\/strong>, forming part of the larger Andhra Pradesh Capital Region<\/strong>, which spans 8,352 sq km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With a project cost estimated at \u20b965,000 crore<\/strong>, Amaravati is being developed as an eco-conscious urban center<\/strong> focused on clean energy, efficient infrastructure, and smart planning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the most striking features of Amaravati\u2019s development is its commitment to generating 2,700 megawatts (MW)<\/strong> of electricity from solar<\/strong>, wind<\/strong>, and hydropower sources<\/strong>.
